Dominican Republic. It’s home.
I’ll try and set aside the fact that my parents would ship my sister and I to my grandmothers for a whole month during the summer. Going back yearly has become a tradition that I try not to break. It gives me a chance to see family and friends that don’t live in the states, and enjoy some of grandmas food with a nice cold Presidente.
It wasn’t in the plans to join a digital marketing firm but glad I did. Before working here I was just churning out sites as quickly as I could. Working here was a complete 180. Yea I still build sites but its more than just the site, it’s about seeing my work bring in great results and having a positive effect on our clients.
In no particular order:

Results Driven – It’s easy to enjoy my job and coworkers when we see the hard work we put into a project and come out of it with excellent results.
Being the owner of a bodega. Growing up in NY we had bodegas in LITERALLY every corner, but stayed loyal to the bodega your parents went to. I also saw the person behind the counter as someone respected in the community and that made be want to become that person.
Also being able to have all the chips, soda I wanted as a five year old.
Cacú. Which roughly translates to big head in English. I’ve had the same sized head since I was born. Pictures are available if needed.
